Wilfred Yap looks into dilapidated road conditions in Sg. Tapang
SUPP Public Complaints Bureau (PCB) Chief Wilfred said residents of Kampung Sungai Tapang had complained about the the dilapidated condition of a certain section of Lorong 5 prone to flash flooding and which is frequently used by the residents to send their children to St Alban’s Primary School and when they go to Church for Sunday worship.
Following the request for assistance received, the complaints were immediately communicated to Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) and the dilapidated section of Lorong 5 have been filled with quarry stones and resurfaced with bitumen. The residents have also raised other complaints on the need of upgrading and improvement of the roads in their village. Wilfred Yap who is also SUPP Kota Sentosa Branch Chairman have highlighted the matter to MPP as regards the need for more funding for the improvement and upgrading works requested by the villagers.
SUPP Kota Sentosa Chairman Wilfred Yap also appeals to the current Stampin Member of Parliament and Kota Sentosa State Assemblyman, Chong Chieng Jen to assist to apply and secure development funds from both the Sarawak or Federal Government for the implementation of improvement and upgrading infrastructure works for the benefit of the communities of Kota Sentosa which is also within Stampin Parliamentary constituency.
He said during his regular “turun padang” activities, he is frequently approached by residents for assistance to request the local Council to carry out maintenance, improvement and repair works to damaged infrastructure facilities like drains and roads. Following such requests for assistance received, the problems are always immediately communicated to the relevant authorities for their immediate action to carry maintenance and repair works.
