尖山中公新校舍开幕礼
尖山中华公学重建工程C栋大楼于11月11日正式开幕，由砂地方政府部长拿督沈桂贤主持开幕仪式。 该校前后共进行4个阶段的重建工程，总预算为1150万令吉，其中包括已竣工的C栋大楼（140万令吉）、正进行重建的B栋大楼（预计耗资100万）、已经进行动土礼的多功能礼堂，（预计耗资350万，目前正进行筹款活动）、A栋大楼及校外的沟渠排水系统及学校篱笆等工程。 其中，圆满落成的C栋大楼为一栋4层楼的建筑，共拥有9间课室，其中第三层为行政办公室，加上现有的9间课室，可以大大纾缓课室不足的压力，让学生们拥有更好的学习环境。该校C栋大楼工程于2015年10月1日正式动工，并在今年8月竣工。 拿督沈桂贤在仪式上表示，砂拉越一定要将自己的教育自主权拿回。 他说，50年以来，有关自主权慢慢被淡化，这已经不是一两年就能拿回，不过还是必须极力争取，才能自由发展及提升属于砂拉越的教育制度。 他表示，尖山中公拥有一半的土著生，绝对符合“办教育不分种族及宗教”的宗旨，因办华教不止是为了利益而办，而是为了华教的根而做，与友族分享，大家为了教育而做，这就是砂拉越，永远不分种族及宗教。 他感谢长期以来给予筹款支持的各界人士，并强调，数目永远比不上心意及诚意，教育绝对是帮助下一代最好的财产。

沈桂贤：三马拉汉发展前景光明
砂地方政府部长拿督沈桂贤表示，三马拉汉县议会具有许多条件升格为市议会。 他说，三马拉汉市议会能够升格，也意味着当地有许多可以发展的机会，包括许多教育学府都在三马拉汉设立，不少学生就读，这显示三马拉汉拥有“蓝海经济”发展的条件，可以大力开发。 他表示，比如砂大拥有1万7000名学生和2000名教职员，而玛拉工艺大学也拥有超过1万名学生。 “超过3万名大学生聚集的三马拉汉堪称是教育城，这亦是无限的发展空间。” 沈桂贤是于11月11日出席三马拉汉县议会升格为市议会仪式上致词时，这么表示。 出席者包括代表首席部长的副首长丹斯里詹玛欣和三马拉汉市议会主席拿督彼得米诺斯。 沈桂贤说，除了砂大和玛拉工艺大学之外，三马拉汉还拥有师范学院和政府机构大厦等等。 他希望人口逐年增加的三马拉汉，未来可以成为一个健康宜居城市。
