石角跆拳道中心启用礼
砂人联党中央妇女组顾问郑莉薲于日前代表巴都吉当区州议员罗克强，为石角跆拳道中心主持启用礼。 她恭贺这家跆拳道中心的启用，并指跆拳道是一项健康运动，适合每个人参与。 她说，让孩子从小学习跆拳道，也有助于培养他们的纪律与专注力，以及灌输团队精神的重视。 “跆拳道也是一项国际性的体育，借着这项体育，砂拉越人可以打响名堂，为砂拉越争光。”

沈桂贤：市议员名单由地方政府部提呈内阁
针对某些关于地方议会议员任期将会延长6个月的报导，砂地方政府部长拿督沈桂贤说，他并不清楚这是哪来的报导，而他再次强调，新届地方议员名单必须要通过地方政府部，才能提呈至内阁。 他表示，若是非通过地方政府部提呈至内阁，他就不知还有什么管道。 也是砂人联党主席的沈桂贤是于昨晚在人联党中区全体支部联合假诗巫民众会堂主办的“人联党57周年纪念庆典晚宴＂后受访时，如此表示。 他强调，他并不知所谓市议员任期延长6个月的消息是从何而来。 “所有市议员的名单，包括市长和市议会主席，都通过地方政府部提呈至内阁。” 沈桂贤表示，他的部门是与4个国阵成员党讨论名单事宜，成员党分别是土保党、人联党、人民党和民进党。 另一方面，他披露，将于7月举行马运会，并不会影响新一届地方议员的上任时间，因为这项体育盛会与地方议员没直接关系。 据他所知，7月马运会只影响到地方政府部门行政人员的调任，包括地方政府部秘书、地方议会秘书的调任。
