Dr Sim: Helping out Chinese schools
Senator Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian Datuk Dr Sim urged school alumini to give back to the Chinese schools as part of their contribution to assist Chinese independent schools. Sim said the Alumni and the former students of Chinese schools should come together and pledge their support to the school. 沈桂贤：国庆日应缅怀国家先贤
砂人联党秘书长拿督沈桂贤上议员呼吁各界在这国庆日，共同珍惜及缅怀国家先贤，在为国家争取独立的艰辛历程上，所付出的牺牲与贡献。 他说，国庆日的意义不仅仅在于庆祝，而是理解国家建设的背后意义，全体人民都应该自问，可以为这个国家做出什麽，而不是要这个为自己带来什麽。 他同时也呼吁全体砂州人民，继续维护砂州的和平与和谐。这珍贵的精神，应该好好珍惜，让其持续下去。
沈桂贤为四中义卖会主持开幕
砂人联党秘书长拿督沈桂贤上议员今日代表党主席丹斯里陈华贵，为古晋中华第四中学举办的“为华教，献爱心3.0”义卖会主持开幕礼。 他恭贺四中成功举办一项出色的义卖会，筹募该校的办学经费。 他认为，这项义卖会不仅仅是筹募办学这么简单，其目的与意义，也包括让校友回到母校，回馈母校，报答母校的栽培。 同时，学生及教师也可借着义卖会一起合作，让活动顺利举行。 他也表示，四中的学生从2011年的120人，增至目前的250人，这是值得鼓励的。然而，他认为为了应对未来的趋势，华文独中有必要采取蓝海策略，通过各种管道与办法继续维持生存。
