Tan Sri Peter Chin – members will have to state their stand
Party members who were caught on camera for attending the UPP’s launching recently would be given a showcause letters to explain why they were there.
President of SUPP, Tan Sri Peter Chin who after holding a CWC, said the Central leaders are serious in getting rid of disloyal members who has both feet in two parties.
He said for Temenggong Lu Kim Yong and Liu Thian Lian, he said suspension letters were send to them after they both publicly announced that they are quitting SUPP.
Chin said for the 30 plus members who were identified in the UPP, they will be given show cause letters. But if they do turn up at the SUPP TDC next month, they have to declare their stand before the delegates.
On the TDC, he said it was postponed to accomodate the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister’s attendance.
Chin said there are some delegates who could not make it to the TDC due to the changed date so he has asked these branches affected to have an extra ordinary general meeting to replace the delegates who could not make it.
He said there would be about 400 members attending the TDC.
