Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian continues STPM excellence awards for top students
As the 2025 Malaysian Higher School Certificate (STPM) examination results are released, Sarawak Deputy Premier and Batu Kawah assemblyman Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian has once again announced that he will continue the annual tradition of rewarding students who achieve outstanding results.
Under the Batu Kawah STPM Excellence Award Scheme, all students who obtain a CGPA of between 3.0 and 4.0 in this year’s STPM examination will receive a cash incentive presented personally by Dr Sim.
For students from SMK Batu Kawah who achieve the required results, the school will work with the relevant teachers to submit the list of eligible recipients. These students do not need to submit a separate application.
Meanwhile, eligible students whose identity card addresses are within the Batu Kawah constituency but who study at schools outside the constituency may apply by submitting the required documents to the Batu Kawah Community Service Centre before July 8, 2026. They may also apply by scanning the QR code provided in the relevant information posted on Dr Sim’s Facebook page.
Dr Sim has consistently placed great emphasis on education. Besides providing long term financial assistance to schools of all streams within his constituency and supporting various school activities, he also encourages students to strive for academic excellence through incentive programmes that recognise outstanding achievements.
