Adam Yii allocates funds to upgrade facilities at Chung Hua Juba Primary School

Upgrading works at Chung Hua Juba Primary School, funded through the Pujut constituency’s Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) allocation by Pujut assemblyman and Miri Mayor Adam Yii, have been completed ahead of schedule and officially handed over.

The upgrading project commenced on Dec 22, 2025, and was originally scheduled for completion on Aug 21, 2026. However, the works were finished earlier than planned.

Yii, who also serves as the secretary of the school’s board of management, personally visited the school today to inspect the completed project and witness the handover ceremony.

The Pujut constituency has consistently supported the school’s development through RTP allocations over the years.

From 2022 to 2026, he said a total of RM650,000 was allocated for various improvement projects. These included RM100,000 for road paving, RM100,000 for drainage and road paving works, RM100,000 for upgrading the library flooring and the current project involving the replacement of window frames for the entire classroom block, RM250,000 for the construction of a teachers’ office, and RM100,000 for the development of a smart classroom and additional road paving works.

An additional RM100,000 has also been allocated for 2027, bringing the total RTP allocation for the school to RM750,000. The funding will continue to enhance the school’s infrastructure and improve the teaching and learning environment.

During the site visit, Yii said the allocations were intended to provide teachers and students with a safer and more conducive learning environment. He added that efforts would continue to secure more resources to further upgrade the school’s facilities in the future.
