Wilfred Yap Hands Over Three RTP Projects Worth RM640,000
Kota Sentosa assemblyman Wilfred Yap has handed over several letters of award to contractors for three Rural Transformation Programme projects under the Padawan Municipal Council. The projects involve drainage upgrades and road improvements aimed at resolving long standing issues in Sungai Tapang and Kampung Temedak.
Yap said the projects reflect his continued commitment to addressing problems raised by residents through practical on site solutions. He added that the Padawan Municipal Council is responsible for preparing the bill of quantities, defining the work scope, and carrying out all monitoring to ensure quality implementation.
The three projects are the drainage upgrade at Lorong Sungai Tapang 4 costing RM500,000 awarded to Eastline Synergy Resources, the drainage upgrade at Lorong Sungai Tapang 9 worth RM100,000 awarded to Syarikat Salur Berkat, and the road upgrading works at Kampung Temedak costing RM40,000 awarded to Faes Enterprise.
Speaking at the event, Yap said these initiatives were the result of issues highlighted during his walkabouts and community dialogues.
Every complaint, every request, and every suggestion brought forward by the residents of Sungai Tapang and Kampung Temedak is taken seriously. The handover today shows that when the community speaks, I listen and deliver, he said.
He also thanked the Padawan Municipal Council for carrying out their responsibilities professionally and ensuring that RTP projects are implemented according to required standards.
Yap said the RTP programme continues to play an important role in improving essential infrastructure in Kota Sentosa and assured that more upgrades are planned in the coming months.
I will continue working closely with the council, community leaders, and residents to identify and expedite more improvements. My priority is to ensure that every ringgit allocated brings direct benefit to the people and that our communities receive infrastructure that is safe, functional, and reliable, he said.
