Free Dog Licensing, Anti-Rabies Vaccination and Microchipping Programme by MPP This Saturday

Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) will be organising a Free Dog Licensing, Anti-Rabies Vaccination and Microchipping exercise for dogs at the parking lot of SJK (C) Chung Hua Sungai Tengah, Jalan Sejijak, on November 8 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

MPP Chairman Cr. Tan Kai said the initiative aims to promote responsible pet ownership, enhance public safety, and ensure the long-term health and well-being of dogs in the area.

“We are committed to supporting a safer and healthier community for both people and pets. By offering free licensing, vaccination and microchipping, we aim to reduce risks, prevent disease, and help lost pets find their way home,” said Tan.

He added that MPP will subsidise neutering costs amounting to RM150 for the first 50 dogs that are licensed and vaccinated under the council. Dog owners are encouraged to take part in the exercise, which also supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 3: Good Health and Well-Being, and Goal 17: Partnership for the Goals.

Tan reminded pet owners to ensure their dogs are properly restrained and accompanied by a responsible adult during the event.
