RTP Project to Upgrade Kampung Stampin Community Hall Kitchen
Kota Sentosa State assemblyman Wilfred Yap today visited Kampung Stampin together with officers from Kuching South City Council (MBKS) to inspect and officially hand over the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) 2024 project for upgrading works at Balairaya Kampung Stampin (Belakang KPJ).
Yap said the RM50,000 project involves the renovation of the outdoor kitchen through the construction of a new roofing structure, cooking area, and storage space for kitchen utensils and equipment.
He explained that the upgrading work will be carried out by the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) Kampung Stampin using the gotong-royong approach, while MBKS will supervise and monitor the project to ensure quality and proper implementation.
“The upgraded outdoor kitchen will enhance the community’s shared facilities, especially during social, cultural, and festive gatherings organised by the JKKK and local residents,” he said.
According to Yap, the RTP initiative reflects community empowerment, where local residents and the government work hand in hand to improve local facilities. “It strengthens community spirit and ensures that every ringgit spent truly benefits the people,” he added.
Yap also thanked MBKS for their continuous support and collaboration in ensuring the efficient implementation of local development projects. “With MBKS’ technical guidance and the community’s participation, we can achieve more sustainable and inclusive development in our constituencies,” he said.
