Wilfred Yap Hands Over RM10,000 MRP Grant to Rejimen 511 (AW) Kem Ria

Kota Sentosa State assemblyman Wilfred Yap handed over a Minor Rural Project (MRP) allocation of RM10,000 to the Tabung Kebajikan Rejimen 511 (Askar Wataniah) Kem Ria to support the purchase of essential electronic equipment and facility upgrades.

The cheque was presented to Lt Kol Khairul Azri Bin Abdullah, Commanding Officer of Kem Ria, during a brief ceremony held at the camp.

According to Yap, the allocation will be used to purchase several key items aimed at enhancing the comfort and working environment of the regiment’s personnel. These include one unit of 1HP air-conditioner, two units of 2HP air-conditioners, six units of 30-inch industrial fans, one LED television, and four units of 500-watt spotlight lamps.

Yap expressed his deep appreciation for the dedication and contribution of Rejimen 511 (Askar Wataniah) in safeguarding the community and assisting the public whenever needed.

He said the MRP contribution reflects the Sarawak Government’s moral and practical support for the nation’s security forces, acknowledging their vital role and commitment to public service.

Yap also stated his commitment to continue supporting the needs of security agencies and community groups within the Kota Sentosa constituency, ensuring they are adequately equipped to serve effectively and comfortably for the wellbeing of the people.
