Sebastian Ting Inspects Upgrading Works at Jalan Aru Basketball Court
Deputy Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Datuk Sebastian Ting visited upgrading works at the Jalan Aru basketball court today to observe the project’s progress and quality.
The project, funded under the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) with an allocation of RM150,000, involves resurfacing the court, replacing basketball hoops and backboards, installing LED lighting, adding benches, and constructing fencing to provide residents with a safer and more comfortable sports facility.
Ting said the project was officially handed over on September 30, with a construction period of three months, scheduled for completion by December 31.
“The contractor has assured that efforts will be made to speed up the work so that the community can enjoy the upgraded basketball court as soon as possible,” he said.
