Wilfred Yap Accuses DAP Chong Chieng Jen Of Playing Politics
Kota Sentosa State assemblyman Wilfred Yap Yau Sin has accused Sarawak DAP chairman Chong Chieng Jen of playing politics over the alleged diesel smuggling case.
“The investigation is being conducted by the MACC, an independent agency. The GPS Government has never interfered in such matters,” Yap said.
He added that Chong should know the difference between state and federal jurisdiction. “For him to ignore these facts shows he is more interested in political drama than governance.”
Yap also pointed to DAP’s silence on federal scandals. “If YB Chong is serious about accountability, he should first question his colleagues in Peninsular Malaysia.”
He stressed GPS has nothing to hide. “The law must take its course. Sarawak has even passed the Ombudsman Ordinance to strengthen transparency. That is our commitment to good governance.”
