Kota Sentosa State Assemblyman Wilfred Yap looking into several local issues affecting the area

Firsthand observations have highlighted alarming lapses in the upkeep of critical public amenities and is the duty of government authorities to ensure that facilities funded by taxpayer contributions are maintained to the highest standards. Regrettably, persistent issues such as unsatisfactory repairs of potholed roads, poor maintenance of public amenities and slanting utility poles suggest systemic failures in oversight and routine maintenance, said State Assemblyman, Wilfred Yap.

Yap urged the relevant authorities to immediately initiate a comprehensive audit of these public services, coupled with actionable plans to rectify shortcomings.

He said the public rightfully expected responsiveness, efficiency, and integrity from the relevant authorities upon receiving complaints.

Yap called upon those relevant authorities to prioritize urgent repairs and long-term maintenance plans for deteriorating amenities, implement rigorous monitoring systems to prevent recurring issues; and ensure those responsible are held accountable through reviews of their performance.
