Upgrading earth drainage in Desa Wira lanes
Earth drains were upgraded to concrete for Lorong Desa Wira 17A6, 17B1, 17B2, 17B3, 17B4, Batu Kawa.
Deputy Premier, Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian said Letter of awards by Director of DID Sarawak, Datu Ir Ahmad were given to three successful contractors through open tender at RM11.19 million for 3.84km of drains, benefited more than 200 houses.
He said this was part of more than RM200 million drainage upgrading and flood mitigation projects for Batu Kawa.
Dr Sim added that Premier Abg Jo’s policy for resettlement scheme is to have infrastructure like the drain, tar seal road, utilities at the start of the resettlement with 2-3 model of houses for the successful applicants to choose from and not just empty plot of land with no infrastructure.
