Datuk Sebastian Ting allocates funds to build the auditorium of Krokop Kindergarten
Piasau State Assemblyman, Datuk Sebastian Ting was delighted to see the construction of an additional rain-covered auditorium at Krokop Kindergarten completed.
Ting who is also Deputy Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industries and Performing Arts of Sarawak visited the Kindi to inspect the quality of the construction project for completion acceptance.
Also with him were his PA, Chia Kah Furng, officials and contractors of the Miri JKR.
Ting said they inspected the progress of the project together and discussed the requests for the second phase of the project.
He pointed out that the above-mentioned rain cover auditorium project cost 250,000 ringgit and was constructed through the 2022 Rural Transformation Program (RTP) of Persau District.
The project started on May 8 this year and the construction period is 6 months but it was done ahead of schedule.
The current stage of the first phase of the project is done and Ting added that he will apply for funding again to start the second phase of the project and complete the remaining parts of the site.
Krokop Kindergarten was founded in 1963, marking its 60th anniversary this year, and it has been 38 years since it moved to its current location. There are currently 120 students, and the completed auditorium can accommodate 800 people.
