Lo Khere Chiang attending appreciation night at Borneo Highlands resort
Borneo Highlands Residents Club [BHRC] hosted an appreciation night on 5th August 2023 at the Borneo Highlands Resort Clubhouse.
The event was attended by some 50 participants from Padawan Municipal Council [MPP], Unit Keselamatan Penguatkuasaan Sarawak [UKPS], BHRC Committee, members, and staff.
The Chairman of BHRC, who is also the State Assemblyman for Batu Kitang, YB Lo Khere Chiang praised MPP for helping the State Government to maintain the Golf Course, the
landscape, the infrastructure in the Resort and the access road to the Highlands.
He also gave much credit to UKPS, a unit establish under the Premier’s Office headed by Datu Dr Chai Khin
Chung for providing security services to the whole resort which covers more than 5000 acres of land bordering Kalimantan, and the residents also benefitted.
The Chairman emphasized
that our YAB Premier has the vision to make Borneo Highlands one of the best tourist destinations in Sarawak to attract global tourists to come to Sarawak. However, he also would
like the resort to be opened to the general public for rejuvenation, leisure, and to enjoy the cool climate and beautiful scenery.
During the dinner, Datu Dr Chai assured the residents that his team of well-trained guards will do their best to always safeguard the security and wellbeing of the residents and their guests. Datu Dr Chai in his speech also asked if there are dogs in the
highlands.
He mentioned that apart from the security and rescue operations, his unit is also providing vaccination to dogs in the rural areas.
In conjunction with the event, UKPS took the opportunity to organize team building activities and to celebrate their first anniversary of services at Borneo Highlands. All of them enjoyed the pristine environment and climate of Borneo Highlands very much. They felt that the resort should be opened to the public.
