Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) has accepted the decision by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah to form a unity government at the federal level to prevent a hung parliament, said Sarawak Premier, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.

Abang Johari, who is also GPS chairman said his Majesty wants a strong and stable government and we must abide by our nation’s Parliamentary Democracy type of administrative system thus GPS will participate in the unity government that did not come with conditions.

He congratulated Pakatan Harapan chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on his appointment as Malaysia’s tenth prime minister.
