SUPP Batu Kitang Youth chief, Alvin Chong believes Sarawak government can manage Sarawak well

The 15th General Election will be a referendum battle in which Sarawak should be self-governed and managed by Sarawakians instead of attending to the Federal for all issues.

Sarawak United Peoples party,(SUPP) Batu Kitang branch Youth Chairman, Alvin Chong said as Sarawakians, we have been better in many sense and no other states can maintained racial and social harmony for a long time.

He said in Sarawak, there is no political struggle for power as this is due to the four local political parties, namely PBB, SUPP, PRS, PDP which have a deep understanding of Sarawakians ‘s needs.

GPS can clearly and effectively take care of themselves and self-govern the region.

On the other hand, Chong said, the existing DAP, PKR, and Amanah in Sarawak have their parent bodies from West Malaysia and they are just a Sarawak agent in their West Malaysia.

“Since it is only an agent of West Malaysia, then any policy, any administration and action are mainly based on West Malaysia, and the agent in Sarawak can only act according to the orders and instructions of the “head office”.This can be proved from the fact that Sarawak Pakatan Harapan did not strive for the interests of Sarawak during the Pakatan Harapan government. It seemed that its hands and feet were completely “bound” by the West Malaysia head office and could not be used at all.

He pointed out that Pakatan Harapan Ministry of Finance did not implement the 5% sales tax on petroleum products passed by the Sarawak Parliament, Pakatan Harapan cancelled more than 13 development projects in Sarawak, Pakatan Harapan refused to implement the 20% oil tax, and Pakatan Harapan was reluctant to repair old schools in Sarawak, etc. These issues related to Sarawak’s interests, Sarawak Pakatan Harapan did not fight for Sarawak at all, even though they are all Sarawak citizens.

“On the contrary, when Lim Guan Eng accused Sarawak of going bankrupt, Sarawak DAP scrambled to defend Lim Guan Eng’s remarks. This shows that it is standard practice to protect West Malaysian owners. In a West Malaysia political party that cannot fight for and defend the interests of Sarawak at all, what does Sarawak want it to do? Although in the 2021 State election, the people of Sarawak bravely made the decision to reject the political parties of West Malaysia, but it has not yet been completely. In this national election, we must completely reject all political parties in West Malaysia outside Sarawak, the hometown of hornbills, ” he added.
