Wilfred Yap asks for five years to prove himself for the Sentosa voters
Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS)/SUPP candidate for Kota Sentosa Wilfred Yap Yau Sin said the constituency was never improved for the last 15 years under Democratic Action Party (DAP) since 2006.
Believing that he could change the situation, Yap urged voters to give him five years and if he failed, they can move back to support DAP.
Despite DAP being there for so long, Yap said, with expanding population the area is lack of development and infrastructure, especially in the Stampin Resettlement Scheme.
Nobody bothers, he said, to do any upgrading of infrastructure , not even the elected representative who has the connections, resources and power to help the situation.
He added that the people of Kota Sentosa deserves change for the better.
As he has no bigger platform to secure larger funds for projects that are urgently needed by the people of Kota Sentosa, Yap said, he need this one chance to prove himself to them if they vote him in.
“I will do my very best to fulfill the needs of the people in our community and bring it up to a level that is equivalent to the responsibilities that I hold, ‘ he assured.
Yap will be facing four opponents in Kota Sentosa from DAP Michael Kong Feng Nian, Parti Bumi Kenyalang (PBK) Lue Cheng Hing, Sarawak People’s Aspiration Party (Aspirasi) Tan Kok Chiang and Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB) Datuk John Lau.
