Dr. Sim pleased with the 7000 jabs at the Batu Kawa health clinic
The Batu Kawa Health Clinic evening vaccination centre (PPV) administered 7,000 Covid-19 doses as on July 27 since six weeks ago and from now on, the night vaccine schedule wil be closed, said Local government and Housing Minister, Dato Sri Dr. Sim Kui Hian.
Dr Sim said the evening vaccination was assisted by volunteers from private practioners with staff of Batu Kawa . He thanked the volunteers for helping to reduce the workload of other vaccination centres and the vaccine was mostly given to nearby residents for their conveniences.
He added that it was through the spirit of solidarity, volunteerism by the private medical professionals from young to senior to specialists , the nurses and NGO which made it happened.
Dr. Sim who frequently went to the night vaccination centre also helped out at times and said vaccination is the best bet to bring down death and seriously ill to those who contract covid patients.
He urged those who has not been vaccinated to come out as there are enough vaccines for all Sarawakians. With 80 percent vaccinated, we will achieve herd immunity as what we had aimed for since the vaccination started, he said.
