Desa Wira drainage system upgraded
Sarawak Local government and Housing, Dato Sri Dr Sim Kui Hian disclosed that Lorong 5B drainage in Desa Wira will be upgraded after more than 30 years (with new design by engineers) at RM 280,000.
Visiting the site, Dr Sim said progressive drainage upgrade of whole Desa Wira as part of approved flood mitigation and drainage upgrade for Batu Kawa cost RM 120 million.
He said these upgrading will ensure smooth flow of water and durng heavy rain, the area will not have flash flood.
Dr. Sim visited the site with Ir Hazwan, Deputy Council Engineer of MPP and local community Penghulu Stanley.
