Dr Sim visiting Linde’s manufacturing factory in Bintawa
Local government and Housing Minister, Dato Sri Dr Sim Kui Hian said Linde’s medical and industrial gases manufacturing and distribution facility in Bintawa would be able to supply medical gases if Sarawak needs it during the Covid related pandemic period.
Paying a visit to Linde’s factory on Friday, Dr Sim witnessed a team who demonstrated their capabilities and preparedness to service medical gases.
He said Linde has two liquid medical oxygen production facilities located in Samajaya & Bintulu and multiple gaseous medical gases cylinder filling & distribution facilities located in Sarawak (Bintawa, Miri & Sibu) and it not only has manufacturing facilities through-out the Sarawak state but also have a well-established distribution fleet comprising of cryogenic mobile tanks and trucks to supply medical and industrial gases apart from competent people with good know-how in safe production and distribution of these gases.
He added that Linde also has several other medical and industrial gases manufacturing facilities spread across Malaysia.
By visiting them and understanding their infrastructure and preparedness, he said it provided an assurance that Sarawak would have adequate supply of medical gases, if the need arises.
