Visual meeting with Dr. Sim, Datuk Sebastian and the business sectors in Kuching
Minister for Local Government and Housing Dato Sri Dr Sim Kui Hian, together with Sarawak HuaZong president Dato Richard Wee, Kuching Chinese General Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Dato Tan Jit Kee , hawker’s representative and Datuk Sebastian Ting having a visual meeting yesterday to discuss on impact by covid-19 and to formulate economy recovery plan.
Dr. Sim said due to the pandemic, life has changed for the public to adopt a new norm of living and industrial and commercial enterprises also have to face new challenges in covid situations. He said the involved parties have an important role in economy and development, thus, they are being called in to discuss and contribute constructive suggestions which will be used to draw up an economic development plan or stimulus package.
Under the current situation, Dr. Sim added that the Sarawak government has announced that the current CMCO will be continued with enhanced SOP, as of now dine-in is not allowed and some sectors of the businesses are still not allowed to operate. He said all these were done with the hope of flattening the curve.
