Tan Sri Peter: speak out against those betraying SUPP

SUPP President Tan Sri Peter Chin called to members to fight as it is time to stop remaining silent against those who betrayed the party.

Chin who gave a fiery speech at the Sentosa 5th anniversary dinner at a restaurant last night, said despite  the Registrar of Society (ROS) giving them a clear sign on April 30th, there are still some out there who wanted to see the demise of the party.

Referring  to seven persons who filed a judical review against the ROS in Kuala Lumpur high court, Chin said there is an open secret there is someone who everyone knows who is behind these seven. The seven were Datuk Dr. Jerip Susil, Dr. Joncal Rayong, Shiling Banggit, Datuk Tiong Thia King, Suzanna Lee, Ranum Mina and Sia Jii Ming.

Speaking to about 800 members at the dinner, Chin said for the past two years, the Central Working committee (CWC) members has been undergoing a stressful time with the fear of the party being de-registered but now after we were cleared, there are still some who are not still not happy and decided to take more negative action against the party, he added.

He urged the leaders and members not to accept what was thrown at them but  to speak out against the injustice thrown at the party. “I even received calls from component party leaders asking me why there was court action against Registrar of Society (ROS) for not de-registering the party. It is a laughing stock for those who filed against the ROS’s decision for not killing off SUPP,” he said.

” We should go against Parti Tenaga Rakyat Sarawak (Teras) openly, a party announced on May 15 where former SUPP Chairman, Dato Sri Wong Soon Koh and former Sarawak Progressive Democratic Party (SPDP) President, Tan Sri William Mawan brought in their State Assemblymen to join the party. We will keep what belonged to us especially the seats allocated to SUPP,” he added.

Chin said the road ahead for SUPP is going to be uneven but with everyone keeping their focus to move on, the party will grow stronger day by day.
