Milton Foo challenges Violet Yong

SUPP Youth Secretary general, Milton Foo urged State Assemblywoman, Violet Yong not to play “wayang shiok sendiri” to fool the people of Sarawak by filling DUN motion for Sarawak to sue Petronas over unpaid petroleum state sales tax.

Foo said everyone knows that DAP is now in the ruling coalition of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) Government who owns Petronas. Will the motion solve the State’s revenue gap or is it more of a political stunt?

“The answer is plain & obvious. I challenge DAP Violet to press on the issue of the unpaid 5% sales tax on petroleum products to DAP Secretary-General and the Minister of Finance Lim Guan Eng to forthwith instruct or order Petronas to pay the said sales tax to the Government of Sarawak, as Petronas is wholly owed by the Government of Malaysia,` he challenged her.

Foo said if Violet is sincere and genuine in fighting for the non payment of 5% sales tax on petroleum products for Sarawak, she would not have made such an unnecessary move by filing the motion at DUN to urge the Sarawak Government to sue Petronas which is wholly controlled & owned by the Federal Government, but to urge the Finance Minister or the Prime Minister boldly to order Petronas to pay the same without further delay.

He told her to stop being a drama queen but be more sincere in her action.
