Wilfred Yap dissapointed with delay of access road at Stutong Baru
SUPP Public Complaints Bureau Chief cum Kota Sentosa Branch Chairman, Wilfred Yap have been approached by the business community and residents of Stutong Baru and 7th Mile area who have expressed their dissatisfaction over the delayed implementation of the construction of access road to the southern side of Kuching International Airport which was approved by the Ministry of Works vide their letter in 11th January last year.
He said the business community and residents have requested SUPP Public Complaints Bureau to stress and highlight to both the Federal and State Government on the importance of the access road which can solve and alleviate the traffic congestion during peak hours of the area. Once completed, the access road connecting Stutong Baru with Jalan Sungai Tapang would shorten the travel time for road users going to and from the Muara Tuang area to Kuching as they can by pass the 6th Mile intersection and Kuching International Airport.
SUPP Public Complaints Bureau hopes that the Government would always place the needs of the people for infrastructure development as top priority. In this case the completion of the access road will not only ease traffic congestion but will also create efficiencies by reducing the time wasted in traffic jams which could be better used to drive economic opportunities.
SUPP Public Complaints Bureau also hopes that the PH Federal and GPS State Government will put “people over politics” and work cooperatively with the Public Works Department to ensure that the construction and completion of the access road on the south side of Kuching International Airport will not be delayed any further.
SUPP Public Complaints Bureau is always ready to lend a helping hand to the anyone facing problems or who come across problems of public interest but does not know how to deal with it.
