Dr Sim visits SJK(c) Stapok, Batu Kawah
Batu Kawa state assemblyman, Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian who paid a working visit to the SJK (C) Stapok said repair works from the roof has started thanks to the donation of of building materials from the alumni & local community. The roof was blown off last week due to a freak weather.
He said this type of gotong royong is not only good to emulate but to be spread throughout Sarawak.
In just two years, Dr. Sim said the school has seen amazing changes with new wings and better facilities to help both the teachers and pupils.
He is very happy to see that the RM1 million under the State and Federal government grant, Senator and ADUN grant has contributed vastly towards the school.
Dr. Sim assured that the Sarawak Government will continue to assist Chinese Education in terms of monetary, land and employment of UEC graduates in Sarawak Civil service.
“I am confident that the plan for another classroom block and the multipurpose hall under the current School Rebuilding Committee will be constructed soon,” he added.
