TS Peter Chin on Teras
SUPP President Tan Sri Peter Chin said today Chief Minister Tan Sri Datuk Amar Adenan Satem has never said he will accept Parti Tenaga Rakyat Sarawak (Teras) into Barisan National.
Chin who held a press conference after the CWC meeting said Adenan only acknowledges that the group from TERAS paid a courtesy call to express their support for him and for BN.
“But he has never tell you people that he has accepted Teras into BN, his statement was misinterpret,” he said when asked by reporters if Teras was accepted into BN fold.
According to the constitution of BN, all component party should accept any new party to join them and if one disagreed, then the new party will not be accepted, he explained.
“There is a long queue to get into BN, and when some party does not agree, it will not be accepted, we have expressed our views that we will object to TERAS to be admitted as a component party of BN or even as a BN-Plus Formula,” he added.
On another point, Chin said that SUPP will verify from each branches to see who had quit the party. He said when Wong Soon Koh quit and joined Teras, they would not know if there was no press conference. He said it is very important for SUPP to check who still remains in the party.
“Until now we did not receive any resignation letter from Wong and the other three assemblymen Datuk Dr Jerip Susil, Ranum Mina, and Dr Johnical Rayong, because if they have not resign, their names are still in the record,” he said.
