Sarawak United Peoples’ party (SUPP) Assistant Secretary of Pending branch,  Milton Foo lodged a police report yesterday at the Simpang Tiga police station against State Assemblywoman Pending, Violet Yong for making allegation against Indonesian children studying in Sarawak which she claimed were illegal immigrants. The allegation were posted in Yong’s facebook a few days ago.

Att the One Stop centre, Foo said said the allegation is baseless unless Yong came out with the evidences to prove her statements.

He asked how Yong knew that the students do not have permit to stay and study in Sarawak unless she must have evidence and not to make allegations.

He said in Yong’s posting, she alleged that there were many illegal immigrants studying in Sarawak as PM has approved the Indonesian to build 50 Indonesian schools here.

Foo said according to the posting, Yong asked, “Where is Sarawak Autonomy? Today SUPP is defending Indonesian’s rights, supporting Najib to sell off Sarawak’s rights through this! Is there any use of SUPP? Dont you have eyes to see?”

The said FB posting, said Foo is scandalous, seditious and incite hatred not only against SUPP but also Sarawak government. He said Yong also implied that PM is approving schools for illegal immigrants and such remark is bigotry.

“There was also another FB posting also allegeding SUPP as the party that sells of Sarawak autonomy.

Foo said if the comments come from an ordinary person, he would have kept quiet but since it is a state assemblywoman, he deemed it necessary for him to lodge a police report as it could ruin diplomatic ties between Sarawak and Indonesia.

He said he will report the matter to the Immigration department after making the police report. He wanted them to investigate into the matter and asked Yong to furnish the necessary evidence.
