SUPP Youth on Teras
SUPP Central Youth will do whatever it takes to defend the 19 state seats and 7 parliamentary seats that rightfully belong to the party. Since Datuk Sri Wong Soon Koh and three other former leaders who have have quit SUPP and joined Parti Tenaga Rakyat Sarawak (TERAS), contested and were elected as state assemblymen under SUPP’s ticket, SUPP Central Youth demands that they table their resignation and vacate their official posts immediately.
At the same time, SUPP Central Youth is determined to support and defend the BN spirit and its existing mechanism which has always been a tradition adhered and practiced among the component parties.
SUPP Central Youth must remind that, according to BN spirit, TERAS must have the consent of all BN component parties and it must be a unanimous decision before any party is accepted to join the BN family. Otherwise, it will hurt the good partnership between BN component parties which was formed long ago.
TERAS’s formation has changed state Barisan’s existing political structure and caused much unwanted tension between component parties. If it was to be accepted to join Barisan, this will encourage more splits to take place in other BN parties in the future.
Therefore, it is with all due determination that SUPP Central Youth declares its stand to object and reject TERAS’s application to join Barisan.
