Former CM posthumously awarded Pehin Sri
Sarawak’s fifth Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Adenan Satem, was posthumously presented the Pingat Satria Bintang Sarawak (SBS), which carries the title Pehin Sri, during an investiture ceremony at Astana Negeri here yesterday.
Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud presented the award to Adenan’s widow Datuk Amar Jamilah Anu, who is Tanjong Datu assemblywoman.
SBS – the highest award conferred by the state government – acknowledges Adenan’s service and dedication to the people of Sarawak.
