Assistance for Noor Batishia cochlea implant

The public has been very responsive as noted by the generosity shown when assistance was sought to collect funds for operations required for children.

It was announced that DCI Diamond Cutter Miri has collected a total of RM1750 to assist two year old Noor Batishia cochlea implant.

The money was handed over to Piasau State Assemblyman, Dato’ Sebastian Ting, this afternoon at the Piasau SUPP branch.

Noor Batrisyia Ramlan is the second child of a security guard and a housewife who was born with hearing problems.

Ting who is the president of Sarawak Cochlear Implant Society, said surgery on both ears will cost RM120,000 and he kick started the donation a few months ago.

The operation will be carried out soon either in Miri or in Kuching.

This is the third fundraising by the society which had sponsored the surgery of two children, Ivan Ling and Athena Kho Yuan’s, in 2014 and 2015.
