15th Anniversary of Persatuan Alumni SM Min Lit, Batu Kawa
Sarawak Local government minister Senator Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian launched the 15th Anniversary and Installation Night of Persatuan Alumni SM Min Lit, Batu Kawa
He said the school has over 50 years history of bumi students in the school. But the survival of the schools no longer depends a lot on private funding whike a portion was received $300,000 out of $6million Sarawak government funding started by Tok Nam in 2014 and continued by CM Abg Jo.
He started the ball rolling by establishing Independent Chinese Middle Schools Trust Fund for bumi students (to be headed by Datuk Richard Wee). “We want to share the best of Chinese Education and the opportunities of China’s One Belt One Route with all Sarawakians irrespective of races”, he said.
