Assistance for fire victim in Sg Kesa village
An elderly man aged 60 and his mentally-ill son lost everything after his wooden hut was razed by fire on Monday in Sg. Kesa village, Sarikei.
Teng Ung Woo, Political Secretary to the Chief Minister heard of the incident and paid a visit to the elderly man.
He went with personnel from the Welfare department. Food, household items were given to assist the elderly man, who is a poor farmer.
Teng said he has applied for Welfare assistance to have a proper house constructed for the elderly man and his son. The two are temporarily staying in a hut nearby.
