Higher Education Seminars and Counselling’

The youth sections of five Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) branches here are teaming up to provide consultations for school leavers on their applications to higher education institutions in the country this Saturday at 7pm in the Sa’ati Hall at Kampung Dato.

The five youth sections come from the Bukit Assek, Pelawan, Nangka, Bawan Assan and Dudong SUPP branches. A spokesman for the event said it is being held after the announcement of STPM results, noting that SPM results would also be announced soon.

“Our youth sections jointly formed the SUPP Sibu Education Bureau to conduct this Saturday’s event called ‘2017 Malaysia Higher Education Seminars and Counselling’. We give consultations to school leavers who have just obtained their STPM results and those who will get their SPM results soon.”

He said the seminar would enlighten students and parents with the latest information on courses offered by local public universities (IPTAs), scholarships and study loans, entry requirements, and assistance for online IPTA applications.

“SUPP Youth Central Education Bureau will also host counselling on Facebook for those who are unable to attend our counselling. The Facebook group name is ‘SUPP Youth Higher Education Counseling’.”
