Protest on the usage of Lorong Stampin Tengah 5E

SUPP Public Complaints Bureau Chief, Wilfred Yap was recently approached by the residents and home owners of Shefford View Neighbourhood located at Lorong Stampin Tengah 5E for assistance to draw the attention of the relevant authorities and to record their protest on the usage of Lorong Stampin Tengah 5E as a main front access into a proposed Condominium Project.

The residents  informed that the developer concerned had launched a “secret preview” on the project (Royal Richmond) on 22 October, 2016 at Cityone Mall and  that the project consists of 2 blocks of 168 units of 2 rooms residential condominiums. The developer had claimed that the project was recently approved by the relevant authorities and that it had come to their knowledge that the said condominium project will be using Lorong Stampin Tengah 5E as a main front access into its main lobby and car parks.

The residents and home owners of Shefford View Neighbourhood said that their objection to the usage of Lorong Stampin Tengah 5E are as follows:-

  1. The access road (Lorong Stampin Tengah 5E) was originally built by Lee Onn  Construction Sdn Bhd to support only its 57 units of Shefford View housing project;
  2. The access road (Lorong Stampin Tengah 5E) measures only 5 meter in width;
  3. Future traffic congestion will disturb the peacefulness of Shefford View Neighbourhood;
  4. The high density of Royal Richmond project will cause high traffic and will endanger the children’s safety of Shefford View Neighbourhood (Shefford View has 2 recreation garden/playground within its vicinity, and the demographic residents and home owners are mostly within 45 years of age with young children);
  5. Royal Richmond project should make use of their own access road (which currently they already have connected to main road) instead of diverting their traffic back into the housing estate

SUPP Public Complaints Bureau have now on behalf of the residents and home owners of Shefford View Neighbourhood highlighted their protest and raised the issue with the Ministry of Resource Planning and Environment and Land & Survey Department  for them to review and resolve the matter amicably.
