PM China visit: Sarawak must grab the potential benefits

The official visit of the Prime Minister to the People’s Republic of China visited the Gu’an New Industry Park on the third day.

The park was first developed with an investment of RMB700 per sq m in 2013 but has increased value to RMB 20,000 per sq m in 2016 and currently contributing to the local council an average revenue of RMB 1 Billion per year.

Now the park houses the largest LCD manufacturer, the largest e commerce distribution centre, a Biomedical Peptide valley, and aero space industry which produces 70% of drone in China.

Following the visit, the delegation is of the opinion that Sarawak must grab the opportunity as a result of their exposure to the benefits that can be deprived from the project.
