MPP: second half of the 2016 assessment rate is due on October 31st.
Chairman of Padawan Municipal council (MPP) Lo Khere Chiang reminded Padawan rate payers to pay out their second half of the 2016 assessment rate which is due on October 31st, this coming Monday.
In a press conference yesterday at the Padawan council with his deputy, Dato’ Ahmad Ibrahim, Lo said for the convenience of the Padawan residents, the council will be opened this Saturday and Sunday from 8 am to 4 pm, including during lunch hour.
He said another good news is that the 2016 assessment rates has been reduced for residential properties for those who had been paying RM700 or below.
There are 71,534 properties in MPP area and out of that, 90 percent or 64,380 residential properties are given reduction in their annual assessment rates.
He called to those ratepayers who are unsure of the amount of assessment rates they need to pay for the second half of 2016 or have not received their assessment rates bills or have misplace them to come to the Rating and Valuation division at the council.
Lo said they can call 082615566 to enquire too.
A surcharge of 1 percent per month or part thereof will be levied if payment of rates is made after October 31st.
