Safe and Smart system in Piasau constituency
State Assemblyman for Piasau, Dato’ Sebastian Ting said Piasau constituency will be the first in Malaysia to have a safety and security with the community through smart gadgets under the Safe and Smart system.
He said it was one of his manifesto to the people in the last state election and he wanted to ensure that it was done.
He said the system aimed to reduce and minimized crime index and if successful, they will extend it to Pujut and Senadin.
Ting said they had studied the CCTV coverage in Miri and identify 24 high risk areas. He said the party will continue to work with the Miri council and police on ways to identify and install smart Internet of Things (IoT) sensors and controllers to increase Safe and Smart features in Piasau constituency .
