Batu Kawah constituency to be equipped with 24 hour CCTV soon, says Dr Sim
Deputy Premier, Dato Sri Dr Sim Kui Hian said a number of areas under Batu Kawah constituency will be under 24-hour surveillance once the installation of closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras is completed within the next few months. SUPP Central Woman Chief, Kho Teck Wan welcomes proposal of law to protect elderly parents
SUPP Central Woman Chief, Kho Teck Wan said she supports the proposal of a law where children must care for their elderly parents. 闭路电视推行精明城市计划
砂政府在推行精明城市倡议下，在古晋与三马拉汉两个省份共安装210个闭路电视，目前已经有93个地点已完成安装柱子工程，一旦这些柱子获得电流供应，闭路电视便可马上投入运作。 在210个闭路电视中，209个是安装在竖立起的高柱子上，一个则属於壁挂式，每个摄像点有四个可以360度旋转的摄像头。 古晋北市与南市安装80个，巴达旺市议会地区30个和三马拉汉市议会地区20个，除了93个摄像点已经完成竖立柱子工程，另外21个也完成了安装地基。 砂副总理兼石角区议员拿督斯里沈桂贤巡视施工地点，并听取砂多媒体单机构的工程汇报。 这项工程目前正处于向电力局申请电源手续，沈桂贤在听取砂多媒体机构的汇报后，答应将会向砂公用事业与通讯部长反映并寻求协助。 根据报告，有些拟定中的安装地点必须要重新设定，这是因为这些地点地下有其他电缆、太靠近路边及涉及私人地段等问题。 在巴达旺市议会管选范围内的30个安装地点中，11个已经完成建立柱子工程、10个完成地基、6个需要重新设定地点，其余3个下星期可进行土木和架构工程。 拿督斯里沈桂贤表示，有关工程从2021年就开始策划，并通过公开招标，被遴选的承包商也获得委任书，同时也已在安装地点开始施工。 “在古晋精明城市倡议下，砂地方政府与房屋部及砂多媒体机构合作，以便在4个地方议会管辖区的超过200个地点安装逾800部闭路电视。” 石角选区18个地区安装闭路电视工程正式施工，工程一旦在未来数个月完成后，有关地区将受到闭路电视24小时的监控。 石角区将安装闭路电视的地区分别是：古晋城市广场A/B、德莎威拉A/ B、emart 商业中心A /B、emart 商业中心附近、石角新市镇A /B /C/ D /E、石角新市镇市集、石角BK square、 石角老巴刹、石角河滨公园、石角38商业中心和石角斯里味源花园。 拿督斯里沈桂贤指出，这项提升和加强公共场所安全措施的计划，是涵盖4个地方议会，即古晋南市市政局、古晋北市市政局、巴达旺市议会及三马拉汉市议会，总共超过800架闭路电视，将分布在大古晋（Greater Kuching）200多个地点，主要集中在人口稠密，以及人流及车流量高地区。 他披露，所有闭路电视24小时操作，数据将输送至砂综合行动中心，以便地方议会、警方和其他政府机构能根据情况采取适当行动，例如水灾时进行救援。
