砂10华中获100万拨款
砂拉越政府公平对待且重视全民教育，宣布特别拨款100万给砂10所华中。 这是砂政府今年拨款1000万给砂14所独中、1000万给砂华小后，砂政府也给予砂华中做出的经济援助，充分体现砂政府重视国民教育，而这种重视程度，是建立在不分种族和学校性质的全民基础之上。 砂地方政府兼房屋部长拿督斯里沈桂贤今日移交10万令吉的拨款给古晋中学，该中学是古晋唯一一所华中。 砂华中校董事不久前针对政府有给独中和华小拨款而提出建议，也需要政府关注和支援，有关的建议获得沈桂贤的认同，并要求华中董事会提呈建议书 沈桂贤将华中的心声向砂政府反映，并获得首席部长阿邦佐的批准，给予砂拉越华中100万的特别拨款。 沈桂贤今日在移交仪式上说，无论是政府国中、华中、独中、华小或国小，都是砂政府重要的教育资产和培育人才温床，政府都会一视同仁对待。 他指出，除了拨款，政府也拨地给独中和华小，作为独中以地养校和华小迁校用途。 “除了拨款，砂拉越也是马来西亚唯一承认统考文凭的政府。”

Political secretary to the chief minister, Michael Tiang said he would very much appreciated if the federal cabinet would make a decision to refer Sarawak as a “region” instead of a state.
