石角上湾头第七巷路面正修复

经过巴达旺市议会一个多月的勘察、设计和研究包括申请经费后,石角上湾头第七巷路面坍塌问题,今日正式施工提升。 巴达旺市议会工程师哈兹旺证实,市议会是在今年10月就接获石角服务中心反映上述问题 。 他表示,该路段过去经常发生类似事件,但维修后不久问题还是出现。因此这次市议会必须要勘察和研究,确保能一劳永逸解决问题。 “不是每项投诉是能馬上即刻维修的,因为他们一旦收到投诉,第一件事是前往堪查投诉,第二是由工程部提供技术建议及解决方案,一旦方案可行,就要寻求维修款項的批准,然后再徵求招标及確定承包商,这决不能投诉一两天就可以开工。” 他指出,有关维修因涉及泥土侵蚀及下沉,甚至造成路边的水管及救火消防栓傾斜,甚为複雜。解决方案还包括加设护土设施,这不是一般路面沥青龟裂这么简单。 哈兹旺希望民众了解市议会进行每一项工程的程序。 砂首长署政治秘书陈开,人联党支部代主席林亚德和石角区巴达旺市议员杨盛发陪同市议会工程师巡视上述工程。


陈开:自律及执法才是减少酒后意外的最佳办法

砂首长政治秘书陈开强烈反对限制售卖烈酒措施扩展至各州属的举措,因为这是一种文明社会开倒车的政策,也违反了1963 年马来西亚建国契约。 他强调,砂拉越擁有种族与宗教和谐的社会,各民族之间互相体谅与尊重是我们的特色,也是我们引以为傲的文化资产。 “我想砂拉越政府不会执行此政策,因为我们有自己独立自主的地方政府法令,不受联邦政府地方法令的约束。” 他认为,自律饮酒和严格的执法才是减少酒后发生意外最好方法,而不是禁止商家售卖烈酒,加上我国是世俗国并不是宗教国,即使是宗教国家,如土耳其、阿布扎比这些伊斯兰国家都能卖酒,而我国却禁止是贻笑大方的开倒车行为。 “况且,疫情影响了很多人的生意,不需要多一项没有必要的政策进一步影响商家的生意。” 他也说,许多商家也会自律的不售卖烈酒或啤酒给18岁以下的人士。


叶耀星协助民众追讨拖欠薪资

2名事主因不满遭解雇而向砂拉越人民联合党公共投诉局主任叶耀星寻求法律质询。 这2名事主从事汽车喷漆工作,雇主在短时间内发出通知终止雇佣关系,并且没有支付2名事主2019年11月至2020年9月的薪水余额。 这2名事主已向劳工部投诉他们的情况,并将在2020年12月上旬审理此案。但是,2人告知人联党公共投诉局他们不精通英语或马来文,他们担心自己无法在劳工法庭正确地陈述自己的案子。 叶耀星已代表2名事主要求劳工部可以提供中英/中巫翻译员或允许自带翻译员;以确保他们在案件审理过程中能更好地表达和陈述意见。 任何觉得自己没有得到公平待遇的员工或觉得终止雇佣关系不合适,可亲自前往砂拉越劳工处;他们的案件将由劳工处转交劳工法庭。砂拉越劳工法院的判决只能在高等法院提出上诉。 砂拉越人民联合党公共投诉局告知大众倘若面临不合理的解雇或裁员,皆可向砂拉越劳工部投诉;地址为古晋公积金大厦7-8楼。 砂拉越人民联合党公共投诉局主任叶耀星建议员工们不要保持沉默,而是维护自身的利益和权利。人联党公共投诉局已准备好为面对相关问题却不懂得如何处理的民众伸出援手。任何相关事宜可联系人联党公共投诉(016-7797688或082246999)或亲临人联党总部。
