砂拉越人民联合党中央秘书长拿督陈超耀律师澄清，西连区国会议员拿督斯里里察烈并没离开人联党。 他说，2020年2月29日，全国及本地媒体广为报导里察烈已经正式加入公正党。 “作为党中央秘书长，我谨此澄清，与党署理主席里察烈沟通后，他亲自证实他并没有如报导般，加入公正党。” 他说，里察烈也进一步声明，他没接获任何公正党党员表格，也没签署任何入党申请表格。他没加入，也不会加入公正党。 陈超耀希望，这则声明能厘清一切传闻。
