Dr Sim: leakage of 10 points understanding to be investigated
President of SUPP, Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian said he will carry out an internal investigation into the leak of the 10 points understanding with its partners in Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) to the media. Expressing his disappointment with the leakage of the 10 points understanding, he said newspaper had published the leakage which was not meant for public consumption. He said that SUPP will alwasy support Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg to lead the GPS as spelt out in one of the 10 points.
Dr Sim: IPeople application to be extended to all local councils
Minister of Housing and Local Government Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian said the IPeople application will be extended to all local councils in Sarawak so that members of the public can have easier access to make complaints, make payment of assessment rate and other services. He said the present ‘talian khidmat’ service was too slow causing a lot of unhappiness among the public who at times said there was no respond received at all. 沈桂贤：砂经济自主惠及人民
砂地方政府及房屋部长拿督沈桂贤强调，首长阿邦佐哈里将于今年11月公布新经济模式，确保砂拉越在面对希盟政府削减拨款情况下仍能支付各项开销。 他表示，砂拉越必须取得经济自主，以帮助人民落实更多发展。 沈桂贤出席巴达旺市议会22周年庆仪式上致词时表示，砂拉越于去年为联邦政府贡献500亿令吉的石油与天然气收入，由此可见，经济自主对砂拉越而言极为重要。鉴于此，他呼吁砂拉越子民支持首长阿邦佐哈里所领导的砂政盟政府，在争取砂拉越经济自主继续奋斗，包括在财务与政治上的自主。 他坦诚，已故阿德南沙登生前宣布降低及豁免低收入群体的门牌税，难免为地方议会收入带来一定冲击，尤其是对于巴达旺市议会来说情况更为严峻，因为该议会每年足足少了600万令吉的门牌税收入。 在门牌税收减少之下，巴达旺市议会在提升基建设施方面更显得拮据，任何开销都必须慎使用拨款及税收。 他说，地方议会作为人民前线，务必诚挚对待民众的诉求，否则将令政府失去民心。他以509大选结果为借鉴，地方议会全体上下不能维持在509大选前的工作态度，而是比从前加倍认真与努力看待人民诉求，否则他们将使用手中的一票惩罚政府。 沈桂贤强调，只要秉持团队精神，传递高效服务表现，绝对可以虏获民心。他指出，根据砂政府投诉热线报告显示，高达80%的投诉是针对地方议会在地方基建的议题，因此，地方议会前线人员必须致力于解决相关的投诉及把问题解决。 他举例，南市市政局日前研发并推行的“I-People”手机应用程式，内设地区基建投诉、付款、上载照片等功能，并取得民众正面反馈。为此，他鼓励其它地方议会可以效仿，与时并进和科技接轨。 他说，虽然巴达旺市议会本身有其WhatsApp群组，专为接收民生投诉，不过，倘若进一步升级探讨，例如开发此应用程式来提高服务效率。
