公共投诉局处理小孩领养问题
日前一位来自7哩的夫妇向砂拉越人民联合党公共投诉局主任叶耀星要求协助有关小孩的问题。因为他们的名字并无登记在小孩的出生纸上。这名小孩现已8岁且从小都是由该对夫妇照顾。 该夫妇的问题在于不了解办理领养及申请公民权的程序。 在聆听这名父亲的问题与困境后，叶耀星答已成功向高等法院申请取得法以令让这名父亲成为孩子的法定监护人。经高等法院委任为法定监护人后，叶耀星协助该名父亲向县公署(District Office)申请领养孩子的合法程序。县公署现已批准其领养申请，投诉局也协助他们向国民登记局注册其领养证书。随后，他们就可向国民登记局申请公民权。 砂拉越人民联合党公共投诉局主任叶耀星希望朝野国会议员可以抛开政治立场通过修筑立法来解决无国籍小孩的问题，包挂是否可以考虑给那些与外国籍女子结婚，但未能在法定时间内注册的大马籍男子他们所生下的孩子公民权。 人联公共投诉局已做好准备并尝试通过相关部门解决影响社区的公共议题。人联党公共投诉局已准备好为面对相关问题却不懂得如何处理的民众伸出援手。任何相关事宜可联系人联党公共投诉（016-7797688或082246999）或亲临人联党总部。
Helping out stateless children
SUPP Public Complaints Bureau Chief, Wilfred Yap was recently approached for advice and assistance as both him and his wife’s name was not registered as the father and mother of the child in the child’s birth certificate. The child is already eight (8) years old and had been taken care by both the individual and his wife since birth. The individual and his wife had asked for assistance as they did not understand the procedure and requirements of the process required for adoption and application for Malaysian citizenship for the child.Read More
