Working visit to the JKR
Local Government Minister, Senator Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian paid a working visit to the JKR yesterday morning. He said one of the reasons he wanted to look into during the visit is to familiarize himself on the ongoing and future projects in Batu Kawa area which are under the JKR jurisdiction. Officers there briefed Dr. Sim on the projects done and the projects expected next year.

沈桂贤:明年开辟夜市助兴经济
砂地方政府部长拿督沈桂贤呼吁古晋市民活跃参与社区活动,展现对于城市的关爱,而不是依赖地方议会承担照顾城市的责任。 他强调,为了确保古晋继续享有团结城市的美誉,以及成为具有吸引力的旅游景点,古晋市民不应彷佛置身事外。 “古晋市民与地方议会携手,在发现任何问题时,与议会一起解决,而不是伸出手指批评。因为这是属于每个人的城市,每个人都有责任。” 沈桂贤是于本月15日出席古晋南市市政局圣诞节活动时,发表致词。 他指出,地方政府部门将会在明年将透过各种举措,例如举办夜市与鼓励流动餐车等活动进一步推动市场经济。 他说,其部门明年会拨款2000万用于开辟夜市的计划,当局正在寻找合适的地点以落实这项计划。
6th Sarawak International Open Softball Championship Chief Minister’s Cup.
State assemblyman for Piasau, Dato’ Sebastian Ting yesterday afternoon officiated in the opening of the 6th Sarawak International Open Softball Championship Chief Minister’s Cup. He also welcome participants from Brunei, Peninsular, and Bintulu to Miri, all of whom participated in the game.
