Senate cheque presentation ceremony at the SUPP HQ
Minister for Local government, Senator Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian made a Senate cheque presentation ceremony at the SUPP HQ recently. He thanked and congratulated all the NGO who stepped in to fill the gap in providing the local community services. Dr sim said together with the elected SUPP members, they would help to shoulder the responsibilities of taking care of the community.
Walkabout at Miri Ramadan stalls
Dato Sebastian together with YB Datuk Lee Kim Shin, Mr. Adam Yii, and other local party committee members went on a walk about around the Ramadhan stalls at the Miri Indoor Stadium. Ting said Sarawak is lucky to celebrate all festivities peacefully and the best part was that many non Muslims were also seen patronizing the stalls.
Dr Sim: walkabout at Batu Kawah
State assemblyman for Batu Kawa, Senator Datuk Sim Kui Huan, went down to the ground to see the complaints of the people. Dr. Sim also called to other members of the party to go down to the ground with him in order to see to the people’s needs, as have been promised in the last state election campaign .
巡视石角区工程
砂地方政府部长兼人联党石角区州议员拿督沈桂贤于日前，与一众石角支部党员及地方领袖一同巡视石角多个地区的基建提升工程。 这些地区包括石角德沙威拉徙殖区第二期第17巷5I沟渠扩大及挖深工程、斯里味源港花园廉价组屋区沟渠与道路疏通工程及斯里味源港廉价组屋区道路重铺沥青工程。 沈桂贤首站是巡视石角德沙威拉第17巷5I挖深水沟工程。该工程耗资逾3万令吉，长达约1公里。 他表示，该水沟之前是泥地，每逢下起大雨时，因雨水来不及排出就淹水。 他称，前来巡视的目的是确保挖掘工程的进展。此项挖深工程是于达雅节之前施工，目前工程已近完成。 下一站是前往斯里味源港花园廉价组屋区巡视那里的沟渠与道路疏通工程。沈桂贤指出，该项工程耗资1万5000令吉，是通过他的州议员拨款进行。该区的道路每次下雨就聚水，甚至流到附近的组屋区，现在当局已在清理沟渠的泥沙和在聚水路旁挖掘出口，导出聚水，重现干净。 最后一站是巡视味源港花园廉价组屋区道路铺上沥青工程。他说，该工程是来自于郊区转型计划的拨款进行，耗资2万5000令吉，提升的道路全长约2公里。
移交上议员拨款
砂人联党主席拿督沈桂贤上议员，于日前在人联党总部移交上议员拨款予古晋地区31个受惠团体。 他呼吁民众在来临全国大选，踊跃支持国阵候选人，以便社团组织可以获得稳定的活动经费。 他表示，国会议员的拨款一般比州议员更多，因此希望人民在下届国会选举把票投给国阵候选人，届时这些国会议员就能与州议员配合，给予更多拨款以便能够展开各项社区服务。
拜访斋戒月市集
砂人联党卑尔骚区州议员兼中央秘书长拿督陈超耀律师于昨日拜访美里室内体育馆的斋戒月市集。 他在市集上与参与摊位的小贩及民众握手交流。 随同者包括史纳汀区州议员拿督李景胜、埔奕支部主席俞小珊和党员们。
