韩国歌手莅临古晋
韩国著名歌手李正于日前首次莅临砂拉越。 他在一项新闻发布会上透过翻译员表示，他有兴趣成为砂拉越的韩国旅游大使，协助吸引韩国游客到访本地观光。 他表示，已向砂旅游部常务秘书拿督伊巴汉表达上述意愿。 “对我来说，砂拉越是个很美丽的地方，拥有许多美丽的植物与风景。” 李正也说，他正计划在明年3月，于古晋筹划一场韩国歌手演唱会。 他指出，这次到访古晋逗留5天，是为了考察砂拉越，在这里发掘有趣的地方。 他相信除了可以向韩国介绍砂拉越之外，在这里，韩国人也可以学习到英文与华语。 他希望古晋将后可以拥有直飞韩国的航班，因为目前需要转机，对于旅游业是项挑战。 对于韩国歌手演唱会，李正表示，他了解到类似的演唱会还不曾在古晋举行，而他与他的团队希望能在学校假期举办该演唱会，希望吸引周边地区，包括汶莱、新加坡及印尼的歌迷到来观赏。 与此同时，砂人联党中央秘书长拿督陈超耀律师及宣教秘书俞小珊也受邀出席新闻发布会。 陈超耀指出，他曾经于今年6月份到韩国观光，并且还出席李正的演唱会。 他强调，砂人联党希望在吸引韩国游客前来观光方面，扮演一定的角色。
沈桂贤要求教育部尽快发放拨款
砂人联党主席拿督沈桂贤上议员日前向联邦教育部长拿督斯里玛哈兹卡力提出，希望该部门尽快发放2015年财政预算拨款给砂拉越华小。 他说，这项已经承诺拨给国内华小的拨款，一定要兑现承诺。 政府在2015年的财政预算拨款，总共拨出5000万令吉作为国内华小的建设与维修经费。 另外，沈桂贤也对于明年度的财政预算案，仅拨出2000万令吉给国内华小，表示关注。 他强调，砂州必须拥有教育自主权，以在教育政策与发展上，拥有更多决定权。

Popular Korean singer, Lee Jung paid a visit to Sarawak for the first time to see for himself what Sarawak has to offer.
