SUPP Sri Aman Chinese New Year dinner

The Sri Aman SUPP leaders and members joined President Senator Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian to celebrate a Chinese new year dinner. Dr. Sim called to party members to work hard and ensure that Assistant for Rural Development, Datuk Francis Harden Hollis, win the election again. He said if Harden were to win, he will be a full Minister and can bring more development to the people of Sri Aman.


Senator Datuk Dr. Sim walkabout in Engkilili town

President of SUPP Senator Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian, who visited Engkilili recently, took a walk around the town and visited the SJK Chung Hua. While there, the principal and teachers had a dialogue with him and said they need a roof for their basketball court which cost about RM45,000 and so far the school had collected RM20,000. 沈桂贤拜访英吉利里镇

砂人联党英吉利里支部开始积极备战州选,党主席拿督沈桂贤上议员于昨日亲自率领该支部执委拜访镇上的商家及居民,进行亲切交流。 位于鲁巴河河岸的英吉利里镇,当地的华人已经是来到第二或第三代,尽管年轻一辈大多数已经离乡背井到外地谋生,但老一辈的华人,还是坚持留在镇上,经营家族生意。 沈桂贤的父亲已故拿督阿玛沈庆鸿,当年曾经来到英吉利里镇,至今当地仍有居民对于当年沈庆鸿在咖啡店用餐的情景历历在目。而其儿子沈桂贤此番到访,大家都感到额外高兴。 随同沈桂贤拜访者,还包括成邦江区州议员拿督法兰西哈登、龙芽支部主席甲必丹郭翼升及英吉利里支部主席青年团秘书柯若成。 沈桂贤在拜访过程中,亲自送上年柑及贺年卡予商家及居民,向众人拜个晚年。


沈桂贤访问英吉利里中公

砂拉越人民联合党主席拿督沈桂贤上议员于昨日访问英吉利里中华公学,并与该校校董及教师进行交流。 英吉利里中华公学拥有两百多位学生,教师则有24位。 该校正在计划兴建一座雨盖篮球场,费用约45万令吉,不过目前校董会仅筹获20万令吉。 沈桂贤了解该校在兴建雨盖篮球场的难题后,向本固鲁柯速荣为首的校董会提出建议,即该校可利用现有的20万令吉,开始进行雨盖篮球场的工程,其余经费可以通过举办活动筹募的方式筹集。 他说,英吉利里中华公学校董会可举办校友回校日,让曾经在该校读书的校友,有机会回到母校,报答母校的培育之恩。 他表示,通过宣传及号召,肯定会有校友愿意回来,并捐钱支持雨盖篮球场的工程。 与此同时,沈桂贤也在访问英吉利里中华公学期间,与该校的教师进行交流,并给予一番鼓励。 他向教师们表示,不要觉得自己“委身”在一个偏远小镇,因为对于教育事业的奉献,是无分地区的,即使在一个小地方,只要有心,同样可以证明自己。

Secretary General of Sarawak United Peoples’ party (SUPP), Dato’ Sebastian Ting thanked PRS President, Tan Sri Dr. James Masing, for his suggestion to the government to give agriculture land to Chinese farmers who were genuine in wanting to farm.
